Dhaka, Aug. 16 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman left Dhaka by road on Sunday morning for Kishoreganj where he will attend several programmes including the formal inauguration of the National Fisheries Week-2026.

The prime minister left his Gulshan residence at around 9:15am, said his Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Rumon.

During his daylong visit, Tarique Rahman will inaugurate the National Fisheries Week at the George Institution Mini Stadium in Achmita Union of Katiadi and attend several other programmes.

This is the prime minister's first visit to Kishoreganj since assuming office following the 13th parliamentary election in which the BNP secured a massive victory.
