Dhaka, March 18 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has taken responsibility for the treatment of a baby girl who miraculously survived a road accident in Sherpur of Bogura that left four members of her family dead.

The one-and-a-half-year-old girl, who was seriously injured in the accident, is being taken to the National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital in Agargaon in the capital for advanced treatment.

The Prime Minister expressed deep shock and sorrow over the incident and extended his condolences to the bereaved family, said his Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon.

He said the Prime Minister has taken full responsibility for ensuring proper treatment of the orphaned child.
