PM orders stricter action against unchecked use of polythene, plastic
, Sept. 9 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Wednesday ordered the law enforcement agencies to take stricter action to stop the unchecked use of polythene and plastic in a bid to control environmental pollution.
He also asked the ministries, departments and agencies concerned to properly discharge their responsibilities in enforcing measures against the use of polythene and plastic.
Tarique gave the directives at a review meeting on controlling environmental pollution at Secretariat in the morning, said a release issued by the PM's Press Wing.
