Tangail, April 14 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Tuesday visited the grave of national leader Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani in Santosh of Tangail.

Tarique Rahman went to the grave premises around 5:00pm, said his Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon.

He said the Prime Minister offered Fateha and a munajat there, seeking the salvation of the great national leader's departed soul.

Liberation War Affairs Minister Ahmed Azam Khan, State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Sultan Salauddin Tuku and Abdus Salam Pintu, MP, among others, were present.

Later, the Prime Minister visited the house where Maulana Bhasani used to live in Santosh. He also signed the visitors' book kept there.
