Brahmanbaria, Oct. 27 -- Pharmacy owners went on an indefinite strike Brahmanbaria district town on Monday morning protesting what they claimed illegal attempts to evict allotted shops from the district government women's college market.
Brahmanbaria Chemist and Druggist Association is observing the strike, causing suffering to patients.
The association leaders held a protest rally marching through key streets before holding a sit-in in front of the college market on Monday morning.
Speakers included the association's senior vice president Md Shanul Haque Bhuiyan, municipality unit president Noore Alam Siddiqui, and business leaders Md Ziaul Haque and Khokon Khan.
