Dhaka, Nov. 21 -- The national gas grid is set to receive an additional supply of approximately 5 million cubic feet per day (MMCFD) of natural gas, following the successful completion of a workover operation at the Kailashtila Gas Field in Sylhet.
Petrobangla, the state-owned oil and gas corporation, confirmed the news on Thursday (November 20), stating that the new gas supply is expected to be added to the grid within the next three days.
The workover (re-drilling/rehabilitation) of Kailashtila Well No. 1, under the supervision of Sylhet Gas Field Limited (SGFL), was successfully completed, revealing new gas reserves.
Supply Details: The well is expected to contribute approximately 5 MMCFD of gas to the national grid daily.
