, Sept. 15 -- The prepaid electricity vending system of West Zone Power Distribution Company Ltd (OZOPADICO) was restored on Tuesday morning after a technical disruption left customers unable to recharge their prepaid meters for nearly 17 hours.

OZOPADICO said the logical connection between its prepaid database server and application server was disconnected at 1:15pm on Monday.

A team of technical experts carried out tests and troubleshooting for several hours before restoring the prepaid system at 6:10am on Tuesday, the company said in a press release.

It said all restrictions related to prepaid meter recharging have now been removed and customers could complete vending as usual.
