Chuadanga, Oct. 15 -- More than 400 leaders and activists from the BNP and its affiliates have joined Jamaat-e-Islami in Alamdanga upazila of Chuadanga.

They officially joined the party at an election meeting and induction ceremony held Wednesday afternoon at Belgachi Secondary School grounds.

Zahidul Islam, recently expelled vice-president of Belgachi Union BNP, was among them.

The new members took an oath under the leadership of Chuadanga District Jamaat Ameer Ruhul Amin, who also served as the chief guest.

District Jamaat Secretary Asaduzzaman Asad, MP candidate Masud Parvez Russell, and Alamdanga Upazila Jamaat Ameer Shafiul Alam Bakul, were present.
