Khulna, Sept. 14 -- Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md Asaduzzaman on Monday said there is no scope for taking any action outside the legal framework.

"There is no scope for any action outside the legal framework or for crossfire. The existing laws are sufficient to combat terrorism," he said.

The minister made the remarks while addressing a views exchange meeting organised by Khulna district administration at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner's Office to discuss improving the overall law and order situation, ensuring good governance and strengthening administrative activities in the district.

He said ensuring public safety and maintaining law and order are the government's top priorities.
