Shariatpur, Aug. 1 -- Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Hossain on Saturday warned of strict administrative action, including dismissal, against doctors found negligent or involved in irregularities while performing their duties.

The Health Minister made the remarks during a surprise visit to Bhedarganj Upazila Health Complex in Shariatpur.

During the inspection, the minister visited different hospital departments and reviewed overall activities, including medical services, medicine supply, patient attendance and the performance of doctors and health workers.

He also spoke with patients and their relatives who came for treatment and inquired about the quality of healthcare services.
