Nearly two-thirds of rural adolescent girls suffer menstrual disorders: ICDDR, B study
, June 18 -- Nearly two in three adolescent girls in rural Bangladesh experience menstrual disorders, with many facing disruptions to their daily activities and education, according to a new study conducted by the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b).
The findings were unveiled on Thursday at a dissemination seminar held at the Canada Club in Dhaka, where health experts, policymakers, government officials and development partners discussed the current state of adolescent health in the country.
