Kushtia, Aug. 29 -- Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has seized drugs and smuggled goods worth around Tk 28.85 lakh in separate raids along the Kushtia border.

BGB conducted the raids at different border points under the jurisdiction of Kushtia Battalion (47 BGB) on Friday and Saturday based on specific intelligence.

Kushtia Battalion Commander Lt Col Rashed Kamal Rony confirmed the seizures through a press release on Saturday afternoon.

According to the release, a BGB team conducted a raid in the Kathaltala field area under Kathuli Border Outpost (BOP) around 11am Friday and recovered two bottles of Indian liquor and 2kg of cannabis.
