Dhaka, March 12 -- Bangladesh Navy has strengthened security measures for fuel-carrying vessels operating in the country's maritime routes amid the prevailing international and regional security situation.

The navy remains on round-the-clock duty to ensure the security of Bangladesh's maritime boundary and sea lanes, which are vital for the safe movement of commercial vessels and the country's import-export activities.
