Mymenshingh, Oct. 10 -- Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam on Friday said the country is set to witness a real election after many years, with all obstacles now cleared for a national vote in the first week of February.
"There's no doubt about the upcoming election. We've moved past the era of fake polls held during Hasina's 16-year tenure," he told reporters during a discussion at Mymensingh Press Club.
Shafiqul Alam said this time the nation will experience 'one of the best elections in its history,' adding that the election atmosphere is already taking shape.
