Mymensingh, Oct. 28 -- A Mymensingh court on Wednesday granted bail to Sathi Akter, who was arrested in Bhaluka upazila on October 25 amid protests by local BNP leaders and activists after she expressed frustration with the government during a Facebook Live.

Judge Sajidul Islam of the Chief Judicial Magistrate in Mymensingh granted her bail on a bond of Tk 500, said court Inspector Mostasinur Rahman.

She was later released from jail.

Mostasinur said Sathi was brought to the court around 12:30pm. Lawyer Mahtab Uddin Ahmed represented her during the hearing.

On October 25, Sathi, daughter of Amjad Ali, went live twice on Facebook through an account named "Sathi Makeover".
