Dhaka, June 19 -- A professional mugger was caught red-handed by traffic police while attempting to flee after mugging a passenger's mobile phone in the Pallabi area of the capital on Friday.

The arrested mugger was identified as Md Manik, 29.

The incident took place in the vicinity of Kalshi intersection.

Police Sergeant M S Mahmud Ali was performing his duty at the Kalshi intersection under the Traffic Pallabi Zone at the time of the incident.
