Dhaka, June 8 -- Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Monday said Bangladesh and Russia will mark the 55th anniversary in January 2027 with specific agreements, as they discussed the steps that can be taken in the trade, economic, cultural, military, and military-technical spheres.

"We have a long-standing history of relations which will mark their 55th anniversary in January 2027," he said.

At the bilateral meeting in Moscow, Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman and his Russian counterpart discussed ways to further advance the bilateral relations and exchanged views on the situation in different regions around the world and discussed the UN agenda items.
