, Aug. 10 -- A modern Islamic complex will be constructed at Pagla Mosque Waqf estate in Kishoreganj at an estimated cost of Tk 60 crore, said Religious Adviser A F M Khalid Hossain on Sunday.

Adviser Khalid said this at a press briefing after a discussion meeting with the Pagla Mosque and Islamic Complex Management Committee in the morning.

He said Pagla Mosque is a historic mosque in Bangladesh under the management of Pagla Mosque Waqf Estate where people from across the country come to pay respects and offer donations and charity.

He added that over Tk 90 crore has been collected in the mosque's fund, from which the new Islamic complex will be built in Turkish architectural style.
