Dhaka, March 14 -- BNP senior leader Mirza Abbas is under close medical observation following brain surgery, with doctors saying his CT scan report on Saturday morning came out good.

"His CT scan was done in the morning and the report is good," BNP Health Affairs Secretary Dr Rafiqul Islam shared the update on Saturday afternoon.

He said the doctors of the medical board are monitoring Abbas's condition round the clock. "He is under close monitoring."

Rafiqul said Abbas will remain under intensive observation by the medical board for 72 hours.
