, Oct. 27 -- Abul Kalam Azad, who was killed after a bearing pad fell off a metro rail pillar in Dhaka's Farmgate area, was laid to eternal rest at his village home in Naria upazila of Shariatpur district on Monday.

Azad's body arrived at his village, Moktarer Char, Purbo Poragachha, in the morning.

A namaz-e-janaza was held on Dakhil Madrashah premises in the morning where hundreds of people attended.
