Dhaka, Nov. 4 -- Mir Mahbubur Rahman Snigdha, the twin brother of July Uprising martyr Mir Mahfuzur Rahman Mugdha, formally joined BNP on Tuesday night.

Snigdha filled out the party's membership form and handed it to BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at the party chairperson's Gulshan office around 9:30pm, said BNP Media Cell member Sayrul Kabir Khan.

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman joined the event virtually from London, welcoming Snigdha to the party and paying tribute to the sacrifice of his late brother Mir Mugdha and their family's contribution.
