Jhenaidah, July 10 -- year-old grocery shop owner on Friday afternoon for allegedly sexually harassing an 8-year-old girl in the Bhutiyarghati area of Jhenaidah district town.

The detainee was identified as Liton Biswas, a resident of Bhutiyarghati Biswaspara area.

According to a local resident, Jahid Hossain, Liton lured the girl into his grocery shop by offering her chocolates at noon and subsequently harassed her sexually.

When the victim returned home and disclosed the ordeal to her family, furious relatives and locals gave Liton a good thrashing before alerting the authorities.
