Dhaka, Sept. 25 -- Police on Friday arrested a man and recovered various materials used to make explosives and cocktails, along with 9,000 paper masks allegedly prepared for an unlawful purpose, during an operation in South Keraniganj of Dhaka.

The arrestee was identified as Zahid Hasan Emon, 30.

According to Shyampur Model Police Station, a cocktail explosion occurred in front of Jatrabari Police Station on Sept 19, 2026. Following the incident, police from Jatrabari, Shyampur and other relevant police stations under Wari Division began a coordinated investigation.

During the investigation, police found information and evidence linking Zahid Hasan Emon to the incident.
