Dhaka, July 5 -- Maldives' High Commissioner to Bangladesh Shiuneen Rasheed on Sunday called and met Foreign Secretary Asad Alam Siam and discussed issues of mutual interest.

During the discussions, they highlighted the close and cordial relations between the Maldives and Bangladesh, including continued cooperation at regional and multilateral forums.

Discussions also focused on exploring ways to further strengthen the existing ties to expand mutually beneficial opportunities for both countries.
