Manikganj, April 18 -- A murder case has been filed against five people over the killing of a child, Atika Akter, 8, in Manikganj, and the main accused, Naim Hossain, has been arrested, police said.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station, Ikram Hossain, said the case was filed by the victim's mother, Arifa Akter, after her daughter's body was recovered from a cornfield in Bonparil village under Manikganj Sadar upazila on Thursday evening. After the incident came to light, two of the accused were killed and one seriously injured by angry locals.
