Dhaka, May 14 -- Police arrested an alleged listed criminal and drug trader from the capital's Banani area early Thursday.

They also recovered a foreign-made pistol, yaba tablets and cash from his possession.

The arrestee was identified as Zahidul Islam, 31.

Quotung Banani Police Station sources, DMP's DC (Media) NM Nasiruddin said that based on secret information, a team of Banani Police conducted a raid at a building in the Mohakhali TB Gate area behind BRAC University around 2:20am on early Thursday.
