Dhaka, Oct. 20 -- Traffic congestion has eased on the capital's roads as a five-day holiday began on Tuesday on the occasion of Durga Puja, allowing commuters to travel with less hassle than usual.

Many city dwellers left for their village homes or tourist spots taking advantage of the long break, resulting in lighter traffic on the capital's roads.
