Dhaka, Nov. 3 -- A legal notice has been served to National Citizen Party (NCP) Senior Joint Convener Nasiruddin Patwary, asking him to withdraw his remarks about Water Resources Minister and BNP Joint Secretary General Md Shahiduddin Chowdhury Anee and issue a public, unconditional apology within 15 days.

Supreme Court lawyer Md Yasin Arafat (Samrat) sent the notice on Tuesday on behalf of Advocate Mahmudur Rahman Mission Bhuiyan, assistant office secretary of Lakshmipur district Swechchhasebak Dal and joint convener of the organisation's municipal unit.

According to the notice, Nasiruddin Patwary made objectionable and baseless comments about Anee while addressing a public rally in Dhaka recently.
