Dhaka, Oct. 20 -- State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir reached Algiers on Tuesday on a two-day official visit to Algeria.

He was received by Abdelmalek Bouheddou, director general for Asia and Oceania at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Algeria.

During the visit, the state minister is scheduled to hold meetings with the Algerian ministers responsible for hydrocarbons, foreign affairs, agriculture, rural development and fisheries, as well as the prime minister, to discuss energy cooperation, trade, agriculture cooperation and other issues of mutual interest, as Bangladesh and Algeria seek to further strengthen bilateral relations.
