Dhaka, June 22 -- year-old motorcyclist who was critically injured in a premeditated brick attack in the capital's Kafrul area died on Monday morning after battling for life for 13 days.

The deceased, Sajid Chowdhury Rafi, succumbed to his injuries around 7:00am while undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kafrul Police Station Md Sazzad Hossain.

Rafi's uncle Md Nur Hossain Chowdhury said Rafi was first taken to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital after the attack in the early hours of June 9. He was shifted to the DMCH the following day and remained under treatment for nearly two weeks in the ICU before succumbing to his injuries.
