Dhaka, Sept. 14 -- Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal on Sunday announced a seven-day nationwide special programme to raise public awareness and prevent the spread of dengue.

The programme will be observed from Sept 14 to 20 through cleanliness drives and public awareness activities, said a press release issued by the Jubo Dal Central Executive Committee.

District and metropolitan units, along with their subordinate upazila, thana and municipal units, have been instructed to conduct coordinated public awareness and mosquito-control activities involving local administrations, voluntary organisations and young people, according to the release.
