Dhaka, Oct. 7 -- Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) on Tuesday announced a one-day programme to mark the seventh death anniversary of Buet student Abrar Fahad.

JCD President Rakibul Islam Rakib and General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir announced the programme.

The information was disclosed in a press release signed by JCD Office Secretary (vice-president rank) Md Jahangir Alam, on Tuesday night.

Abrar, a talented and patriotic student of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet), was killed in 2019 in what JCD described as brutal torture by Bangladesh Chhatra League during the rule of the "fascist government" led by then Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
