, Sept. 10 -- In the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) election, Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD)-backed Vice President candidate Md Abidul Islam Khan secured a big win at Jagannath Hall.

Khan received 1,276 votes for the VP post, while Shibir-backed candidate Shadik Kayem managed only 10 votes.

Other candidates got the following votes: Umama Fatema 278, Abdul Kader 21, Bin Yamin Molla 5, Shamim Hossain 171, and Tasnim Afroze Emi 11.

For the General Secretary (GS) post, Meghmallar Bosu received the highest 1,170 votes.
