Savar, May 19 -- Police recovered the body of a Manikganj unit leader of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) from a rented house in Ashulia here on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Abu Sayem, 27, joint organising secretary of the Manikganj district unit of JCD and son of Abdul Wahab Munshi of Gopinathpur Bhatpara area under Harirampur upazila in Manikganj district.

Police suspected that Sayem committed suicide by hanging himself from the grill of the balcony.Police said Sayem's wife did not find him in bed after waking up from sleep in the morning.
