Japan standing with Bangladesh in wake of recent floods, landslides
Dhaka, July 27 -- Japan has expressed solidarity with Bangladesh following the recent floods and landslides that caused deaths and affected communities in different parts of the country.
In a statement, the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh extended its deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the disasters and expressed sincere sympathy to all those affected.
"We wish the injured a swift recovery and hope that those displaced can return safely to their homes and communities as soon as possible," the embassy said.
Japan has worked in Bangladesh for many years to strengthen the country's resilience against floods, cyclones and other natural disasters, it said.
