Islamic University, Sept. 30 -- The authorities of Islamic University in Kushtia on Wednesday suspended three students following clashes between students of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Bangla departments.

The suspended students are Mehedi Hasan, Abdur Rouf and Mosabbir Hossen, according to a notification signed by IU Acting Registrar Professor Atiqur Rahman on Wednesday evening.

They have been barred from all academic activities until further notice, the notification said.

The university administration also formed a five-member committee, headed by Khaleda Zia Hall Provost Professor Aynul Haque Akanda, to investigate the incident.
