Dhaka, April 15 -- Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC has been honoured with the 'Gold Award' by the Centre for Non-Resident Bangladeshi (NRB) in recognition of its outstanding contribution to the country's remittance sector

The award was presented during the 'Branding Bangladesh' summit organised by the Centre for NRB at a city hotel on April 12, according to a press release.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapon handed over the award as the chief guest. Dr M Kamal Uddin Jasim, Additional Managing Director, and Md Rafiqul Islam, Deputy Managing Director of Islami Bank, received the crest on behalf of the bank.
