Dhaka, July 8 -- Iran's Foreign Ministry has condemned the latest US military strikes in southern Iran, describing them as a "gross violation" of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and warning neighbouring countries against allowing their territory to be used for attacks on the Islamic Republic.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the ministry said the United States carried out "aggressive attacks and gross violation of the Memorandum of Understanding" following the overnight strikes.

According to the ministry, "the terrorist US military, in clear violation of Article 2, Paragraph 4 of the United Nations Charter, committed military aggression against several monitoring and surveillance centres on the southern coasts of Iran."
