, July 19 -- Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Ali Hossain Fakir left Dhaka for Thailand on Sunday afternoon to attend a regional summit "Scam Center Compounds and Transnational Organized Crime."

The two-day summit will be held in Bangkok on July 20-21 to be organised by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in collaboration with the Royal Thai Police.

The summit will focus on strengthening operational coordination, formulating regional strategies and enhancing joint initiatives to address the growing threat posed by scam centre compounds and transnational organised crime networks.
