, June 16 -- Police have arrested a man for allegedly strangling his wife to death in Narail's Lohagara upazila following a dispute reportedly linked to her TikTok activities.

The deceased was identified as Sumona Ferdousi, 38.

Her husband, Limon Mallik, 27, was arrested from Dighalia area on Monday night.

During preliminary interrogation, he confessed to killing his wife, said Lohagara Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Ajit Kumar Roy on Tuesday.

Sumona, originally from Narayanganj, was the second wife of Limon, son of Idris Mallik of Char Dighalia village in Lohagara upazila.
