Mymensingh, July 8 -- Several hours of heavy rains triggered widespread waterlogging in different parts of Mymensingh city on Wednesday, causing severe inconvenience for residents and disrupting normal activities.

Following nearly eight and a half hours of continuous rain from the early hours, water accumulated on major roads and in low-lying areas, inundating hospitals, educational institutions, markets and residential neighbourhoods.

Office-goers, students, traders and pedestrians faced significant hardship as many roads became difficult to navigate.
