, Oct. 13 -- Religious Affairs Adviser Dr AFM Khalid Hossain on Monday said whether the Hajj registration deadline will be extended or not will be known on Tuesday.

A decision in this regard may come following a meeting with the Saudi authorities scheduled for Tuesday, he said while speaking at a press conference at the Secretariat.

As per the Saudi roadmap, the deadline for Hajj registration ended on Sunday (October 12).

This year, the holy Hajj is expected to be held on May 26, subject to moon sighting.

Bangladesh's Hajj quota for this year is 127,198 pilgrims.
