, July 2 -- The Ministry of Religious Affairs has issued a notice outlining the mandatory information and documents prospective pilgrims must provide during pre-registration for Hajj.

The notice, issued on Wednesday, said pre-registration is the first step for Bangladeshi pilgrims intending to perform Hajj.

According to the ministry, applicants must provide National Identity (NID) card, Bangladeshi passport or a birth certificate, a passport-size photograph, a mobile phone number and a bank account number at the time of pre-registration.

It said members of the same family may use a single bank account for the purpose.
