Govt restores confidence of Ramisa's father, Law Minister tells Parliament
, June 7 -- Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md Asaduzzaman on Sunday said the government restored the confidence of Ramisa's father in the country's justice system through the trial of the eight-year-old girl's rape and murder case.
"Today, Ramisa's father said that he is satisfied with this trial. We have been able to give him back his trust," he said.
The Law Minister made the remarks in a statement delivered under the Rule 300 in Parliament in the afternoon, hours after a Dhaka tribunal sentenced prime accused Sohel Rana and his wife Swapna Khatun to death in the case filed over the rape and murder of Ramisa Akter in the city's Pallabi area.
