, April 17 -- The government on Thursday decided to restore observance of 7 November as 'National Revolution and Solidarity Day', and the day will be a public holiday.
The decision was announced by Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Gani at a briefing at the Secretariat after a Cabinet meeting.
He said, "It has been decided that 7 November will be declared as National Revolution and Solidarity Day as it was before. It will be a public holiday, as it used to be."
It will be observed as a Category "Ka" day, Nasimul Gani said the day had not been observed in this manner for the past 16 years.
