Dhaka, June 3 -- The government has directed the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) to deploy sanitation workers in two daytime shifts to strengthen cleanliness activities and ensure timely removal of waste to build a clean city.

The Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives issued the directive on Wednesday.

According to the ministry, maintaining a clean and livable Dhaka requires the prompt collection and disposal of garbage and waste generated throughout the city.
