, Aug. 26 -- The government on Tuesday approved several procurement proposals, including the import of 65,000 metric tonnes of fertilizer.

The other proposals are construction of a 10,000-MT capacity buffer warehouse in Bhola, maintenance work for the GT-2 unit of Shahjibazar 330 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant, and the printing and distribution of 3.62 crore free textbooks for the 2026 academic year.

The approvals came at the 33rd meeting of the Advisers Council Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP) this year, with Finance Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed presiding over the meeting virtually.
