Dhaka, Oct. 1 -- The Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP) on Thursday approved a proposal to procure 19.375 million cycles of third-generation oral contraceptive pills at a cost of Tk 965.84 million.

The proposal was placed by the Health Education and Family Welfare Division under the project titled "Implementation of unfinished activities of essential family planning, maternal, child and reproductive health services of the completed 4th Sector Programme".

Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury presided over the meeting held at Secretariat.

Renata PLC was recommended as the supplier.
