Gazipur, Aug. 7 -- A journalist was brutally hacked to death by a group of miscreants in the Chandana Chowrasta area in Gazipur on Thursday night.

The victim Asaduzzaman Tuhin, 38, was the Gazipur staff reporter for the daily Protidiner Kagoj.

He was attacked in front of Mosque Market, located in the busy Chandana Chowrasta area, just after 8pm.

Tuhin, originally from Bhatipara village under Fulbaria Police Station in Mymensingh, lived in the Chandana Chowrasta area with his family.

According to local witnesses, earlier in the day Tuhin had gone live on Facebook to expose alleged extortion from footpaths and shops in the area. But no such video was found published on his personal Facebook age. He last posted a video around 8pm that sh...
