Gazipur, March 31 -- A mobile court in Gazipur recovered 34,000 litres of fuel illegally stored at a filling station in Konabari area on Monday and sentenced the station manager to one month in prison.
The convicted manager, Abul Kashem Babul, 60, son of the late Abdul Alim of Baimail under Konabari Police Station, was found guilty of illegal fuel hoarding, officials said.
The operation was conducted at night under the supervision of Executive Magistrate Salehur Rahman. Law enforcement personnel, including members of Ansar and the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), participated in the drive.
